SUNSET IN FLORIDA

This quilt was started last year in a Light Up Your Landscape class with Gloria Loughman.

Most of the time was spent on getting those sky/background squares arranged and stitched down.  Painting on fabric (the water) was new to me also.  My water fabric was a blue stripe'ish.  Adding the paint in certain spots enhanced the sunset.

I used Gloria's method for facing, rather than binding.  That tiny inner border turned out just right with her method.

My computer screen isn't doing this wall hanging justice, as far as colors go.

I doubt I'll use this technique again, but always learning, and happy to be out of my box for a bit.
